Most are no doubt familiar with Jaeger-LeCoultre via the famed Reverso. But that’s not La Grand Maison’s entire story.
The dynamic Swiss watchmaking powerhouse is responsible for myriad iconic designs, from — yes — reversible dress watches, to alarm-equipped dive watches, to complicated masterpieces, and more. Indeed, the storied company has one of the most diverse offerings in fine watchmaking.
The particular Jaeger-LeCoultre we have here couldn’t be farther, for example, from the elegant simplicity of the Reverso. A Master Compressor Chronograph, it’s a burly, complicated watch that certainly takes some confidence to wear well!
Housed in a 41.5mm stainless steel case with a sapphire crystal, a signed locking crown, locking pushers, and a polished steel bezel, it features a luminous gloss black dial with applied Arabic and wedge indices, a matching handset, a triple-register chronograph, a tachymeter rehaut, and a date window at 4:30.
Powered by Jaeger-LeCoultre's in-house Calibre 751F automatic winding movement with 65 hours of power reserve, it comes fitted to a signed, black alligator strap with a signed steel deployant clasp.
Packed with functionality, this is a fantastic, daily-wearable modern chronograph from one of the best manufactures in the game.
