Our love for rare and beautiful objects isn't limited to those of the horological variety! In addition to our perpetual treasure hunt for great watches, we cast a wider net into the world of vintage objects, a practice that, since our founding, has yielded a trove of finds we happily share during the holiday season each year.
From vintage clocks to pocket knives, lighters to diving instrumentation, old-world ashtrays to desk sculptures — these are the types of mementos that heavily tug on our nostalgic heart strings and further sate our impulse for preservation and storytelling.
Unfortunately we can't keep them all...
This particular sculpture is created in likeness to the Aston Martin DB5 — a car that needs no introduction to automotive enthusiasts or James Bond fans alike. This lovely piece features fine detailing throughout, paying homage to the Superleggera body penned by Touring of Milan. Cast from solid pewter, this piece measures approximately 8” x 3 “ x 2 1/2" and is very nearly as gorgeous as the real thing.
These pieces were produced in the UK in the 1990s and early 2000s by The Compulsion Gallery, which has sadly since gone out of business, making their fine automotive sculptures rare and highly sought-after by petrol heads the world over.
There’s no doubt that this sculpture will put a smile on the face of any 007 or Aston Martin enthusiast!
